SQL Server Clustering Tools

SQL Server clustering was traditionally a hardware redundancy solution over a LAN to provide fault tolerance for the database portion of an application. As clustering technology has matured and morphed, these tools can now support high availability for a SQL Server over a WAN (geo clustering). This really expands the depth and breath of the infrastructure to ensure a hardware failure will not stop the SQL Server application and negatively impact the business.
