There is far more to email verification than just a binary valid-or-invalid verdict. Some services don’t expose the underlying complexity, but one of Melissa’s core principles is enabling users to gather and use data at the same level as any data company.
Melissa is known for returning an “encyclopedia” of information. But, like any encyclopedia, this information can be used in many ways, ranging from simple to complex.
Given an email list - a database, text file, spreadsheet, marketing extract, etc. - of perhaps dubious quality, there are multiple ways to approach cleansing, standardization, verification, and enrichment.
If ease and minimizing development time are paramount, SSIS is the way to go - anybody familiar with SSIS can have a solution up and running in minutes. This of course allows one to leverage all the automation and scheduling features available with SSIS and SQL Server.
For a more customized solution, our email verification is also available as an easy-to-use API. Here, there are as many options as there are developers. In a nutshell, any modern language that supports GET or POST requests and JSON or XML responses will do the trick.
