Problem
I like your certification series tips. They helped me a lot. However, what should I study to pass the 70-534 exam?
Solution
This time we will answer questions about Microsoft Exam 70-534 Architecting Microsoft Azure Solutions.
FAQ
Who should take this exam?
This exam is oriented to professionals who want to be architects for cloud solutions. This exam is valid to be a Microsoft Certified Professional (MCP), Microsoft Certified Solution Associate (MCSA) and a Microsoft Certified Solution Expert (MCSE).
What are the requirements to be a MCP, MCSA and MCSE in Azure?
To become a MCP, you need to pass one Microsoft Exam. If you pass this exam, you can get the MCP Certification.
To get the MCSA in Azure (MCSA Cloud platform), you need to pass 2 exams.
- Exam 70-532
- Exam 70-533
- Exam 70-534 (yes this one)
- Exam 70-473
- Exam 70-475
For the MCSE you need to take 1 of the following exams.
- The exams for the MCSA mentioned above.
- Exam 70-744
- Exam 70-413
- Exam 70-414
- Exam 70-246
- Exam 70-247
In other words, this exam is optional for the MCSA or MCSE. Is that correct?
Yes, this exam is optional.
This is my first Microsoft exam. Do you recommend me to start with this exam first?
No, the best way to start, if you do not have experience in Azure is with the MTA exam for Azure (Cloud fundamentals):
I would also recommend to try 70-532 before this one.
What happened with the Microsoft Certified Solution Developer (MCSD), Azure Solutions Architect certification?
This certification was retired in March 2017 and replaced with the MCSA and MCSE.
Is this exam difficult?
Yes. It is very difficult. It the most difficult related to Azure in my opinion.
Which books would you recommend for this exam?
Most of the books are obsolete because of the changes in the portal. The most famous book is Exam Ref 70-534 Architecting Microsoft Azure Solutions, however it is not a the best book according to reviewers.
Do you recommend some courses for this exam?
- Course 40442A: MOC Workshop: Architecting Microsoft Azure Solutions
- The MVA course, Architecting Microsoft Azure Solutions was retired (it was obsolete).
- 70-534 Architecting Microsoft Azure Solutions Certification
