Real-Time Data Collection with Windows Performance Monitor

Overview

Now that we have a data collector set configured let's look at how we can start and stop the collection of data.  To start the data collector set we simply right-click on the data collector set name and select "Start".

Once started you can confirm that the data collector set is running by noting the play button beside the name in the left window as shown by the red arrow in the screenshot below.

Stopping the data collector set follows the same steps as when we started it with the only difference being we select "Stop".
